Westlink M7 advises motorists to plan ahead and allow extra travel time as the crews will be carrying out planned linemarking work on the Hume Highway to M7 northbound entry ramp at Prestons, from 9pm to 5am on Monday 26 October 2026, weather permitting.
For the safety of our workers and the travelling public, the work will involve a full closure of the M7 northbound ramp.
Traffic changes and detours
Motorists wishing to continue northbound travel on the M7 Motorway can detour via Camden Valley Way and Cowpasture Road and rejoin the M7 Motorway at the Cowpasture Road Interchange.
Overhead variable message signs and traffic control signage will be in place to alert motorists of traffic changes.
The M7 Motorway will remain open to traffic during work, and delays are not expected.
