Westlink encourages customers travelling on the M7 Motorway during May to plan-ahead and observe signage as ramp closures and detours will be in place for planned maintenance works on M7 exit and entry ramps at the M5/M7 Motorway Cutler VC Interchange (Sir Roden Cutler VC Memorial Interchange), Prestons.
M7 night work and ramp closures for maintenance work
To do the work safely, ramp closures will be in place from 9pm to 5am on Monday 18 May 2026 and Tuesday 19 May 2026 (weather permitting).
- Monday 18 May 2026: A full closure of M5 westbound to M7 northbound entry ramp and M7 southbound to M5 eastbound.
- Tuesday 19 May 2026: A full closure of Camden Valley Way to M7 northbound and M5 eastbound entry ramp.
Traffic changes and Detours
All ramps will remain open during the day.
This work is being carried out at night for the safety of our workers and to minimise impact to the travelling public.
Detours for motorists wishing to enter and exit the M7 Motorway at the Sir Roden Cutler VC Memorial Interchange will be in place via Beech Road, Hoxton Park Road, and Camden Valley Way.
Overhead variable message signs and traffic control signs will alert motorists to traffic changes.
