Westlink M7 congratulated all participants in this year’s Westlink M7 Cities Marathon
held on Sunday 31 July.

Shared path is open for community use!
With only some minor works left near the edges of the shared path, Westlink M7 has opened the full length of the shared path for the community to use. Contractors ALJV will still have a few places where small diversions may occur around the work area, but you are now able to travel the entire length of the shared path again. Please take care around any such works and also note that, because of the current rain, a small section is yet to be line marked. Once the weather improves this will be undertaken with local diversions in place. more +

Shared Path Closure over Easter
Unfortunately, due to such factors as adverse weather, works have been delayed on some work areas of the Westlink M7 shared path. As a result, it is not possible for those areas of the path to be safely reopened over the Easter weekend for public use.

Shared Path Closures - no detours
As part of ongoing improvements to the Westlink M7 shared path, a rolling program of staged drainage and resurfacing works is being undertaken at various locations along the path.
For most work areas detours are in place while work is carried out. However, due to the lack of any pedestrian or cycle paths of similar standard, for three work sections there will be no detour in place. more +

The 12 month program of upgrade works to the Westlink M7 shared path is reaching the final asphalting phase. For areas which are currently closed for concrete work (refer link to Maps of Shared Path Detours for details), the constructors, Abigroup Leighton Joint Venture (ALJV), are aiming to include asphalting in the current closures. more +
