Roam e-TAGs for frequent users of Westlink M7

For motorists who will make frequent use of Westlink M7, we recommend the Roam e-TAG® device.  e-TAG is Australia's most popular electronic tag with more than 1 million issued. We've introduced Roam e-TAG accounts to Sydney to provide you with new benefits.

Fix the e-TAG to your windscreen and it will be detected by a sensor as you travel past a toll point. Toll points will be positioned at the on-ramps and off-ramps of Westlink M7. The toll will be based on the distance you travel on Westlink M7.

e-TAGs can be used everywhere - on all tolled motorways, bridges and tunnels throughout Australia and wherever you see the e-symbol  symbol.

To open your Roam e-TAG account:

  • Call 13 TOLL (13 8655)
  • Go on-line roam.com.au
  • Go to any Australia Post Office

If you already have an electronic tag, your tag will work on Westlink M7, so you're all set.

If you only expect to use Westlink M7 occasionally, we recommend our e-PASS.

Roam e-TAG accounts will offer new choices for Sydney’s motorists

When you set up your Roam e-TAG account, you will be able to select from a range of payment options that are designed to suit different people's needs.

You will be able to link a number of e-TAGs to each account. For example, one e-TAG for each of your vehicles.

Your Roam e-TAG account includes free quarterly statements, that detail every trip, made on each toll road, by each e-TAG.

If you prefer to use the Internet, you can log on to roam.com.au to update your details or make payments.

In addition, you can register the number plates of additional vehicles on your Roam e-TAG account. These could be family members who visit you. When we detect these vehicles on Westlink M7, we will automatically charge the toll to your Roam e-TAG account along with a vehicle matching fee of 75 cents per trip - saving your family the inconvenience of deferred toll payment, and reducing the risk of a fine.
