Cycleway & Walking Path

A high quality cycleway and walking path has been constructed as an integral part of the Westlink M7. The cycleway is just under 40 kilometres long and stretches from Prestons to Baulkham Hills.

The cycleway is generally four metres wide to provide plenty of space for both pedestrians and cyclists.

It is an off-road path separated from motorway traffic. It has its own bridges over roads and creeks and users will be able to enjoy an uninterrupted trip for nearly 40 kilometres.

The cycleway provides important recreational, transport and health benefits. It is a new transport option to employment areas like Norwest and Eastern Creek, as well as connecting to recreational facilities like the Western Sydney Regional Park.

It is a legal requirement that while on the shared path dogs must be kept on a leash, for the safety of all.

There is no toll on the cycleway and walking path.
